Memorial Day Cruise Report

Matanzas Pass Severe Shoaling

Click for Map - Report of a shoaling between Matanzas Pass Channel Daybeacon 2 (LLNR 18087) and Matanzas Pass Channel Daybeacon 4 (LLNR 18095) shoaling is on the south side of the channel and gets as low as 1.7 feet MLLW.

The Coast Guard received a report of shoaling in the vicinity of Private aid Matlacha Pass Daybeacon 56 (LLNR 55140). Mariners are advised to transit the area with extreme caution. Date Reported: Apr 21, 2015

PGSC Annual steak dinner

The PGSC Annual steak dinner will be held at the next Club Meeting, May 13, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association.   The socializing starts at 6:30 and the meeting will start at 7 p.m. Reservations will be accepted by mail if received by May 1st. Please send your check made out to the Punta Gorda Sailing Club and include your choice of steak or chicken in the memo line.The cost is $10/person. Last names starting with A-L, bring a DESSERT. M-Z, bring a SALAD.  Reservations will be accepted by mail if received by May 1st.  Check out the March 31st email blast for details.
